Marisa and John’s Wedding

Hi There

Marisa and John’s wedding was a few weeks ago. I joined them just before the ceremony at The Boatshed and it was great to see the mingling of cultures…The Cook Islanders where present and reflected Marisa’s side of the family and the Irish flew in for John’s. So really nice to hear the different accents. Combined with my Giwi-accent (aka German Kiwi) we had a lot of fun trying to understand each other…haha.

Everything was buzzing and full of life giving me loads of candid moments to capture….so let’s take a look and get a feel for their day..

The littlies arrived and hit it off with this cute-as giggling session..

Interestingly enough I also found the time to photograph birds (outside of the wedding love birds ;-) I had a few moments in between so kept my eyes open and connected with those seagulls..

Sarah and Richard’s Wedding

Hi Everyone,

I’d like to show you this beautiful very intimate wedding today.

A few weeks ago they tied the knot in a romantic evening ceremony at Shed 5. The real charme was that they decided to celebrate with their close family and friends only so kept the entire wedding party under thirteen. When they started planning their wedding they thought they wouldn’t even have a professional wedding photographer. Then about one month prior they changed their mind and I ‘jumped into the picture’ (little play of words here ;-)

Well, we had this fantastic warm evening sun which adds so much warmth and drama to the shots.

They stayed at Ohtel on Oriental Bay which was where our stroll along the waterfront commenced.

Here some of the shots.. I love, love, love the warm evening sun and this part of town has the best of it..

Zoe and Matthew’s Wedding

Hi Everyone

How are you? It’s been a busy few weeks wrapping up the wedding season and exhibiting at The Wellington Wedding Show last Sunday. It was great seeing many of you there, thanks for coming by!

The nicest end to the day was when I won the “Best Stand competition for the Capture Category (Photographers/Videographers)” which was great feedback from the industry…

Today I’d like to share Zoe and Matthew’s wedding with you.

The energy and harmony between them is really contagious and passionate which is something you will see throughout their wedding story. I loved every minute of photographing them as many things unfolded so naturally throughout the day..

Their ceremony was at the Magpie lawn at the Otari Wilton’s Bush. It’s a magical spot for a garden ceremony.

So let’s start with the shoes (or the getting ready..) Midnight blue hot heels indeed!!

Claire and Mark’s Wedding at Tarureka Estate

Hi All

What a fantastic wedding season this year. Today I want to show you how Claire and Mark spent their St Patrick’s Day this year….they tied the knot at Tarureka Estate in Featherston.

Everything about this gorgeous wedding was about the detail. There was not one stone unturned and no thought and wish unfulfilled in my opinion. It took two of us to capture the depth of this wedding to it’s fullest… From custom bridesmaids bags to stunning scrapbooking and handmade doors signs. Claire and Mark together with their family and friends had a fantastic and unforgettable time creating this weekend of a lifetime to celebrate the love for each other.

With these words in mind, let’s look at some beautiful proofs..

Wei and Shanshan’s Wedding

Hi Everyone,

Wei and Shanshan’s wedding was a few weeks ago and very beautiful. Both being chinese it was amazing to see how the chinese and kiwi culture blended into each other.

They had their marriage ceremony at the Old St. Pauls followed by an evening reception at the Grand Century Restaurant on Tory St.  which is one of my locals as our studio is just up the road! The food was amazing, fresh and healthy and everyone had a fantastic time as you will see proven now..

Hayley and Stuart’s Wedding

Hello Everyone,

Today I’d like to share Hayley and Stuart’s wedding day with you. We were really lucky and had some fantastic weather which is wonderful when you plan an outdoor ceremony at Ohariu Farm!
If you are watching TV here and there watch out for Ohariu Farm latest TV advert which features Hayley and Stuarts wedding and some of these shots. Star spotting indeed!

But let’s start from the first minute I spent with them in Hayley’s beautiful tranquille family home in Whitby. Her parents place is gorgeously overlooking the Whitby estuary and simply bathed in sun.

Hayley and Stu’s colour scheme was yellow….such a great choice but yet so rare.

Barry and Amy’s Wedding at the Queen Charlotte Sounds

Hello Everyone,

I’m delighted to share Barry and Amy’s wedding day with you today as it was just magical.

A small and very intimate ceremony at their family’s bach in the Queen Charlotte Sounds which was just the start….so let’s show you some of those amazing images.

The jetty all made up for the ceremony was the first thing I saw when I arrived in our (rescue) dinghy..(long story!)

The way it was made up must have been an inspiration from a fairytale I thought.
