Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
By using any of these websites or engaging services, you agree to these terms. These Terms of Service apply to all four practice websites operated by Sabrina Limited — Sabrina.co.nz, TheRelationshipRoom.nz, TheCounsellingRoom.nz, and TheMediationRoom.nz.
Part 1 — Shared Terms
Nature of the Websites
These websites provide information about the professional services offered by Sabrina Limited. They do not constitute the provision of counselling, therapy, mediation, or legal advice. Information on these websites is general in nature and is not a substitute for professional advice tailored to your specific situation. Submitting an enquiry form does not create a professional or contractual relationship. A professional relationship is established only when both parties have agreed to work together and the terms of engagement have been confirmed in writing.
No Crisis or Emergency Service
These websites and the services offered through them are not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or distress, please contact emergency services (111), Lifeline (0800 543 354), or another appropriate crisis service. I aim to respond to all enquiries within one business day and cannot guarantee availability outside business hours.
Fees and Payment
All fees are stated on the relevant Fees page of each site and are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice. Payment is required before each session. Credit card and bank transfer are accepted. Each party is individually responsible for their own portion of any shared session fee.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
I ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the session fee. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or non-attendance without notice, may incur the full session fee. I will give you as much notice as possible if I need to reschedule and will not charge a cancellation fee in those circumstances.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, my liability in connection with the use of these websites or the provision of services is limited to the direct fees paid for the session or service in question. I make no warranty, express or implied, that services provided will achieve any particular outcome. Outcomes depend on many factors including the engagement and choices of all parties involved.
Intellectual Property
All content on these websites — including text, imagery, and design — is the intellectual property of Sabrina Limited unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any content without written consent.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute arising from the use of these websites or the provision of services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. For any question about these terms: info@sabrina.co.nz.
Part 2 — The Relationship Room
Nature of Service
TheRelationshipRoom.nz offers Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)-based couples counselling, Discernment Counselling, and post-separation family work. These are professional therapeutic services. They are not legal advice and do not constitute or replace mediation or legal representation.
Discernment Counselling
Discernment Counselling is a structured, time-limited programme. It is not couples therapy and does not attempt to repair the relationship during the programme. The goal is clarity of decision, not a particular outcome. By engaging in Discernment Counselling, both parties acknowledge this.
Separate Sessions
In Discernment Counselling and some other modalities, individual sessions are held with each partner separately. Information shared in individual sessions is confidential to that individual and will not be shared with the other partner without their express consent.
Professional Oversight
This practice operates in accordance with NZAC ethical guidelines. I maintain regular clinical supervision. ICEEFT Life Membership standards apply to all EFT-informed work.
Part 3 — The Counselling Room
Nature of Service
TheCounsellingRoom.nz offers individual, child, youth, family, separation, and parent support counselling. These are professional counselling services. They are not a substitute for psychiatric, medical, or legal advice, nor for emergency mental health services.
Working With Children
Where counselling is sought for a child or young person, the parent or legal guardian must provide written consent before sessions begin. I work with children from age 6. Where clinically appropriate, I work to give the child or young person increasing agency over their own therapeutic process as they develop.
Confidentiality & Mandatory Reporting
All information shared in counselling is treated in complete confidence. I will not disclose your information to any third party without consent, except where required by law, where mandatory reporting obligations apply including child protection, or to my professional supervisor for the purpose of ethical practice.
Professional Oversight
This practice operates in accordance with NZAC ethical guidelines and the NZAC Code of Ethics. I maintain regular clinical supervision with an independently appointed supervisor.
Part 4 — The Mediation Room
Nature of Service
TheMediationRoom.nz offers private mediation, Family Dispute Resolution (FDR), Voice of Child, and Workplace and Restorative ADR. These are professional dispute resolution services. They are not legal advice and do not replace independent legal counsel. I strongly encourage all parties to obtain independent legal advice before finalising any mediated agreement.
Without Prejudice
All mediation sessions, pre-mediation individual sessions, and related communications are conducted on a without-prejudice basis. Nothing said or disclosed during mediation may be used as evidence in any legal proceeding without the written consent of all parties.
Mediated Agreements
Agreements reached through mediation are documented in a written record. For family matters, this record is not automatically legally binding. Parties wishing to formalise an agreement into a legally binding instrument are responsible for engaging their own legal counsel to do so.
Voluntary Participation
Mediation is a voluntary process. Any party may withdraw at any time. Pre-mediation session fees already incurred are payable by the party who engaged those sessions.
Professional Oversight
This practice operates in accordance with the NMAS Code of Conduct and Resolution Institute ethical standards. I maintain professional indemnity insurance appropriate to my mediation practice.
Part 5 — Sabrina.co.nz
Nature of Site
Sabrina.co.nz is a personal hub that provides information about Sabrina Barbara Grabow's practice and routes visitors to the relevant practice site. It is not a services site.
No Services Directly
Services are not provided directly through Sabrina.co.nz. All professional engagements are established through the relevant practice site. Enquiries submitted through Sabrina.co.nz are handled under the terms applicable to the relevant practice area.
